The wish of most 8-year-old girls is to be thinner. How many of your beliefs about your body are inherited from your family, the media or society? For example, 'My body is too...' or 'I catch every bug that's going around.' It can be useful to ask ourselves occasionally whether our beliefs are actually serving or hindering us, and then replace them with more constructive examples.
